The Holiday Money Story Workshop

Rewrite the Patterns. Reclaim Your Peace.

Is Your Holiday Money Story Really About Money?

Every year, the holidays promise joy — yet for many women, they also bring a quiet ache.
The pressure to create magic, to spend “enough,” to hold everything (and everyone) together can feel overwhelming.

But what if the stress isn’t really about money at all?
What if it’s about the story you’ve carried — one woven with expectations, loss, guilt, or over-responsibility?

This workshop isn’t about perfect budgets or gift lists.
It’s about freeing yourself from emotional and financial patterns that leave you depleted each December.

When You Heal Your Holiday Story…

You begin to release the “shoulds” that drive overspending and exhaustion.
You reconnect with your values and intuition — and discover what truly matters to you.
You find clarity and calm in place of guilt and resentment.

This isn’t about fixing you.
It’s about finding you — the part that longs for a simpler, more meaningful, and emotionally aligned season.

Suzie recognized that her giving came from guilt, not love — and learned to gift with intention, not obligation.

Martha realized scarcity was steering her holiday spending and redefined generosity in her own terms.

Devon discovered that avoidance wasn’t failure — it was protection. Once they saw that truth, peace followed.

These transformations didn’t come from shame or spreadsheets.
They came from curiosity, clarity, and compassion — no budget bullying required.

This Workshop Is For You If…

  • You feel dread or financial anxiety as the holidays approach

  • You’ve tried “budgeting better,” but still feel out of control

  • You carry guilt or pressure to make everyone else happy

  • You’re tired of spending from obligation instead of joy

  • You want to reconnect to your values and create memories that actually feel like you

You long for a holiday season that feels grounded, meaningful, and emotionally safe.

What to Expect

The Holiday Money Story Workshop is your mini money retreat — part reflection, part reset.

We’ll begin by grounding the body and quieting the nervous system.
Then you’ll be gently guided through reflection prompts that uncover your holiday money story:
where expectations, comparison, or loss have shaped how you give, spend, and receive.

You’ll connect these emotional dots to your current behaviors and learn tools to bring intention and peace into your financial choices.

You’ll leave with:

  • Clarity about what truly matters to you this season
so that you can release expectations that don’t align with your truth and create a holiday experience that actually feels nourishing.

  • Emotional relief and new language for your holiday story
so that you can name what’s been unspoken, soften old shame, and begin relating to yourself and money with gentleness instead of judgment.

  • Tangible next steps your nervous system can trust
so that change feels safe and sustainable — not overwhelming — and you can move forward with calm confidence.

  • A renewed connection to your intuition and values
so that your decisions about giving, spending, and receiving flow from what feels authentic and aligned, not pressured or performative.

"Working with Wendy has been one of the best decisions I have made for my career. I was able to dig deep into my money bias and see that I was getting in my own way of success. I always saw myself starting my business a few years down the road, but during the workshop, I took the leap and stopped waiting for the 'right' moment. If you’re wanting to grow your business, understand your relationship to money, or just gain more confidence in the mastermind you are – work with Wendy. You won’t regret it!"

Why should you listen to me?

Because I was once where you are now - disconnected from my money, my financial future, and locked in debt cycling and living paycheck to paycheck.

I was a mortgage banker, and knew "better", but felt stuck and lived on the edge. This couldn't withstand the impact of divorce.

My life spiraled into chaos, and my finances crumbled.

In what felt like the blink of an eye, my credit score had plummeted into the dreaded 500s, and I found myself without any savings to lean on.

I was a hard worker, giving my all, but the concept of saving money had always eluded me.

Unbeknownst to me, a deeply ingrained belief lurked in my subconscious…

Beliefs were there, hidden from the surface. Beliefs such as stashing money into savings was somehow equal to depriving my kids.

Seeing to their needs, and a few wants, got connected to the beliefs around how to help us find stability.

It was as if I was proving to myself that I could single-handedly provide for them.

To an outsider, this rationale might appear utterly illogical, but when you're in the thick of it, these choices seem like the only ones to make.

My web of thoughts avoided savings as I scrambled to focus on what I thought my kids needed the most. I lost the context of the bigger picture.

So, if you're anywhere in a situation like mine, here's what to do:

  • Acknowledge your need to change something.

  • Don't beat yourself up about it.

  • Start taking action.

  • Get confident and get results.

"I loved Wendy's energy when I first met her. I knew she was a good fit for me and I felt like her presence would also resonate well with my husband, which it did. We deeply explored the sensitive topic of money and our relationship.

Wendy held the space for us to feel the entire spectrum of emotions. My husband and I felt more empathy and, from that place, we were able to have more effective conversations, identify goals, and create strategies for achieving them

We are both grateful for the container Wendy created and support she offered on a challenging journey."

Frequently asked questions

About the “Healing Your Holiday Money Story” Workshop

What makes this workshop different from other money or budgeting classes?

This isn’t a class about numbers or spreadsheets. It’s an experience that helps you explore the story behind your money patterns — the emotions, expectations, and beliefs that shape how you give, spend, or avoid.
We focus on healing, not fixing. You’ll leave with emotional clarity and a renewed sense of connection to yourself — not a to-do list.

Why do you say, “We talk about money without numbers”?

Numbers can easily trigger shame, comparison, or fear. In Financial Therapy, we shift the focus from math to meaning.
You’ll learn to describe your experience of money using feeling words instead of figures — for example:

“I felt pressure to give more than I could,” instead of “I spent $500.”

This approach opens compassion and insight — and takes the sting out of the conversation.

How will you make sure the group feels safe?

Safety and confidentiality are core values in my workshops.
We begin by naming clear agreements:

  • What’s shared here stays here.

  • Speak from the “I,” not “you.”

  • No advice-giving, fixing, or comparing.

  • Silence is welcome — listening is participation.
You always have permission to pause, breathe, or step back if needed. This is a space for gentleness, not performance.

What if I don’t want to share personal financial details?

You don’t have to. We don’t discuss specific dollar amounts — only the emotions and experiences behind them.
You might say something feels “expensive” or “a lot” — and together we explore what that word really means for you (maybe unprepared, tired, or out of reach).
Every share is optional; simply listening can be powerful healing in itself.

What do you mean by “connected and aligned spending”?

Connected and aligned spending means making financial choices that feel true to your values, energy, and needs — not driven by guilt, obligation, or pressure.
It’s about coming home to your own rhythm of giving, receiving, and resting — especially during a season that often pulls us off center.

Is this workshop about budgets or financial advice?

No. This is not a budgeting class or financial planning session. It’s a therapeutic experience designed to help you understand the emotional side of money so that any practical changes you make later come from clarity, not fear.

What will we actually do during the workshop?

We’ll begin with a short grounding practice to regulate the nervous system.
Then you’ll be guided through reflection prompts and journaling to uncover your holiday money story.
There will be time for optional sharing, gentle discussion, and integration.
You’ll leave with insight, language for your emotions, and a sense of peace heading into the holiday season. You can also identify some new practices, tactics, tools, for your money decision making.

What if I feel emotional during the workshop?

That’s completely normal. Tears, laughter, or quiet reflection all belong here.
You’ll be guided through grounding techniques to stay present and supported — and you’ll be in a community that values compassion over perfection.

Who is this for?

This workshop is designed for women who feel pressure, guilt, or exhaustion around money — especially during the holidays.
You might be tired of overgiving, overspending, or feeling “not enough.”
If you’re ready for a calmer, truer relationship with money, this is for you.

What will I walk away with?

  • A clearer understanding of your emotional money patterns

  • Tools to regulate stress and spending urges

  • Permission to define what “enough” means for you

  • A deep sense of relief that your story makes sense — and can change
